not far above the beach is a stream and a few feet away there's a pond where water collects and can flood, every now and then they (sometimes people who come, somtimes the lifeguards) dig a ditch to drain the water into the ocean and this is the result.. the beach always returns to normal, it's not water flowing out and back into the ocean
